Middle School arrived in time for a BBQ lunch with the High School students before they left. They kicked-off their stay with a launch party full of fun games and contests. New this year was a water balloon competition with 8th grade vs 6th and 7th grades. Free time was enjoyed by all this afternoon including zip line, swing, swimming, disk golf and more! The night ended with a time of worship including singing and hearing the gospel from camp pastor, Johnny Sprinkle the Central Church Middle School Youth Pastor. He challenged students to make a shift in how they view Jesus.
Students enjoyed worship, small groups and free time this morning and afternoon. The challenge in worship tonight by Pastor Sprinkle was for students to choose to follow Christ not to just go through the motions. The message was titled “4Doors.” Ask your child about the doors. God moved during the worship time and touched hearts as many students prayed for Christ to be real in their lives and that their lives would reflect Him to their classmates, families and friends. 8th grade students enjoyed time at a bonfire to close out the evening.
Students enjoyed their last morning at Windy Gap as they packed, clean cabins, had breakfast and gathered for one more worship time. After lunch, buses rolled out as they headed home – tired, but excited to see what God will do with the changed hearts and lives.
