On Monday, we opened up the event hearing from Carmel’s Missional Outreach Pastor Jon Freeman who challenged us to see our place in God’s story. We took a deep dive into understanding poverty and the challenges that people in our world face as they try to provide for themselves.
Joe Badgett — My Story
Our Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach, Joe Badgett, shared his testimony and passion for coaching as his ministry. Coach Badgett works for Movement Mortgage and we were able to learn about how his company is revolutionizing the business world.
Stephen Phelan
Stephen Phelan, Chief Pastoral Officer of Movement Mortgage, shared how his company uses their profits to impact communities in a holistic way. Loving people by leading a movement of change through building charter schools, community centers, creating affordable housing and guiding people in some of their most significant financial decisions.
Hannah Arrowood
On Tuesday, we delved into some frontline ministries that are addressing the issues of human trafficking all over the world. CEO/Founder of Present Age Ministries, Hannah Arrowood, shared her testimony and brought a new level of awareness to our students of abuse, exploitation and trafficking.

CCS Junior, Jack Freeman, shared his story of living in India during his elementary years as his family served God there during that time.

David Johnson
Silent Images Founder and Director, David Johnson, is committed to documenting and speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. He started the organization after documenting the genocide in Darfur, Sudan in 2006.
Faculty & Student Panel
On our third and final day of J-Term, we heard from a panel of faculty who have led student teams on many
J-Term projects. They inspired our students to take what they have learned and apply it to living a life on mission for God.

Tattie Teague, a new sophomore at CCS, shared her testimony of how God walked her through some difficult times and used a mission trip to the Dominican Republic to turn her life around.
