At Carmel Christian School, Middle School is all about allowing students to explore their independence, but providing a secure, loving environment for them to do so. Our teachers provide this loving environment, but that wouldn’t be possible without Christ as our center. Each teacher integrates the Bible into the individual subjects, so the students know they always have God’s word as a foundation for every aspect of their lives. The teachers practice this Biblical integration while maintaining an academically challenging classroom environment for all students.
With transition, of course, comes some confusion and even conflict between students and their parents and friends. This is a normal part of the middle school experience everywhere. At Carmel Christian Middle School, though, we have the blessing of being able to use Biblical principles and prayer to help students through this time of transition. They learn about how to function in an academically-challenging environment, how to maintain friendships and how to handle conflicts, all with Jesus Christ at the center. It is truly a blessing to work with these young people as they learn about God’s path for them during their middle school years.

Our students attend chapel every week on Thursdays at 12:10 pm. Chapel worship is led by the Middle School Ignite band. A variety of speakers and special emphasis programs are scheduled throughout the year.
Missions are part of our lifestyle. Middle School students have an opportunity to participate in local and international missions. Eighth grade students travel to Baltimore, MD and participate in a shoe distribution and participate in the Baby Jesus Gift which supports children in Kenya and Samaritan’s Feet Ministries.
The mission of the Carmel Media Center is to help the students, staff, and Carmel community become effective users of ideas and information. We do this by providing relevant resources to support and enhance the educational program at Carmel Christian School.
We seek to encourage a culture of reading which exposes students to a variety of authors, genres and topics for their personal enrichment, spiritual growth and enjoyment. well as teaching students how to navigate the world of information in the 21st century.
