At Carmel Christian School, we seek to nurture their inquisitive minds and encourage their passion for knowledge. Their minds are like little sponges, ready to soak up all that they can about God’s amazing creation, and our teachers love filling their little minds with the wonders of His world. Through the use of textbooks and technology, teachers present the facts; but through their passion for teaching and their love for the Lord they add increasingly more to the learning environment.
Our students love Carmel Christian School because their days are filled with “experiences.” They have field trips, science labs, music classes, projects, cooperative groups, chapels, guest speakers and so much more. Teachers use every day experiences to teach valuable life lessons through the eyes of our Lord. School is not just about academics. It’s about learning how to get along with one another and use the gifts and talents God has given us to serve Him and nurture our relationships. The favorite time of day for every student and every teacher is prayer time. Sharing our praises and concerns with one another, helps us to become a family and “do life” together.
It’s a busy, busy place in the Elementary School at Carmel Christian. Whether we are singing grammar jingles, dressing up like presidents and first ladies, reaching Accelerated Reading goals or just relaxing on the playground, our students stay engaged and involved. I encourage you to visit the classrooms and see what all the excitement is about.
In His Service,
Mary Jane Morgan
Head of Elementary School
Our students attend chapel every week on Thursdays by grade level. Kindergarten through second grade students attend Chapel first thing in the morning at 8:45 am. Third through fifth graders love to worship through song, testimonies and special speakers at 9:45 am. A variety of speakers and special emphasis programs are scheduled throughout the year appropriate for each grade.
Missions are part of our lifestyle. Each class participates in a mission project during the school year. Students have an opportunity to participate in local and international missions. In previous years, students have packed meals for Stop Hunger Now, gathered food for the Church in the City Ministry and much more.
