I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11
We welcomed a new student to Carmel Christian this year who had never learned a Bible verse before. Every week when we tested on the Bible verse, he came to my desk so excited to say his verse to me. Some of the verses were lengthy, but he always received 100%. The best part was, he said them with such joy in his heart and he always had the biggest smile on his face! I LOVE seeing our students hiding God’s Word in their hearts.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16
While preparing and practicing for our 4th grade writing test, one student had become quite anxious throughout the process. Fears of insecurity were destroying his confidence. Some of the girls wrote scriptures on cards to help him take his thoughts captive. When they took him out into the hall to pray for him and give him the cards, the rest of the class jumped up and a spontaneous class family prayer took place right there in the hallway!

So in Christ we, though many, form one body and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:5
I have seen, throughout any given day, a beautiful completeness of God’s people within the Media Center. CCS parents with WEE School kids meet in the morning to get books while teachers of different divisions come in to search for books and meet with other teachers and students. Being able to be in one place and witness so many disciples from Carmel’s ministries mix together and encourage each other is a blessing.
